Immerse yourself in the Land of Oz like never before when Wicked takes over Universal Studios this fall! Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will host immersive experiences with exclusive merch leading up to the release of the long-anticipated movie musical.

The experiences at each park will vary slightly, but both aim to capture the spirit of Wicked. Expect to see costumes and props from the movie, indulge in themed food and beverages, and bring home everything from clothing to home goods.

Wicked at Universal Orlando Resort 

Starting in late October, Universal Orlando Resort will welcome guests to Wicked: The Experience. The experience will appear in the former location of the UNIVRS store, near the front gate and other retail locations. This exclusive, one-of-a-kind experience will whisk guests along the yellow brick road and into a variety of iconic Wicked locations from Shiz University to the Emerald City. Costumes and props created by designers from the film will be on display.

Wicked at Universal Studios Hollywood

Also beginning in late October, Universal Studios Hollywood will transform two storefronts into memorable Wicked experiences. These include the popular Feature Presentation store within the theme park, and the UNIVRS store at Universal CityWalk. The Feature Presentation location will showcase props from the film, as well as an exciting photo op. Later when the film releases in November, the AMC theater at CityWalk will also feature a costumes display. Other CityWalk locations, including Voodoo Doughnuts and The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, will also debut limited time treats inspired by Wicked.

Merch & Dining Highlights

Universal Studios will celebrate Wicked with themed dining and a variety of exclusive merchandise. Some highlights include:

  • Exclusive Wicked-inspired graphics and prints from the legendary Studio MinaLima, including prints on apparel, accessories, home goods, and stationery. 
  • The Shiz University collection, inspired by where Glinda and Elphaba first cross paths. The collection includes a Spirit Jersey, duffle bag, tumbler, hat, journal, and more.
  • Wicked logos on everything from hats and tote bags to notebooks and mugs.
  • Toys, dolls, collectibles, and accessories from huge brands, including Mattel, Funko, LEGO, and Loungefly.
  • Prop replicas from The Noble Collection.
  • And more!

Additional Wicked celebrations will head to Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Studios Japan later this year and early 2025.

About Wicked

Wicked adapts the award-winning stage musical of the same name to screen. The story takes place in the realm of Oz, but set years before Dorothy drops in. 

In the film, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) meet as students at Shiz University and forge an unlikely but profound friendship. Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda’s unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power, while Elphaba’s determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences on her future. Their adventures will ultimately see them fulfill their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked part one premieres in theaters November 22.
