So, it’s not just me. Viewers all over are also in love with the most recent adaptation of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. The premiere of the series (along with the return of The Walking Dead) gave AMC+ its most successful two days in history. Along with the highest viewership, they have also had their highest amount of new subscribers ever.
Interview with the Vampire is now the #1 new drama on ad-supported cable in 2022. This gives AMC two of the top three series in that category, along with Dark Winds. On AMC, 1.2 million viewers watched the premiere of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. These numbers include 493k adults 25-54, in Nielsen live+3 ratings.
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE IS A HIT!
On AMC+, the series premiere now ranks as the #1 new series launch ever, in both viewership and acquisition. This is tripling the early activity of the previous record-holder in these categories, Dark Winds. 75% of first streams on AMC+ Sunday were new customers watching The Walking Dead and/or Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire premieres.
Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire also now ranks alongside The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul as one of the top three new or returning series on AMC+ based on its opening weekend performance.

New episodes of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, which also has a 98 rating on Rotten Tomatoes, are also available a week early on AMC+. The first season of seven episodes will run through November 13. Then, will be followed by the second series in Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, Mayfair Witches. This new series will premiere as an AMC+ exclusive on January 5, 2023.

New episodes of The Walking Dead will be available a week early on AMC+, with the exception of the series finale, which will be celebrated with a live screening and fan event at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on November 20, followed by an expanded live episode of Talking Dead.
